Adding Your Site to Google

If you'd like to add your site to Google to make your site searchable through their search engine, please see the instructions below.

You can submit your site to search engines, like Google, by using these steps:
1) Log into the Administration section
2) Click the Settings menu
3) Click on the Search Engine Settings link
4) Click the "Click Here" link to open a page with several popular search engine links.
5) Click on the "Google" link

After clicking on the Google link, you will be prompted to log into an account with Google (this can be a GMail account). If you do not have one, you can create one for free by clicking on the "Sign Up" option in the top right of the page.

Once you are logged in, you will come to a screen where you will be asked to enter your site URL, which will be in the following format: www.leaguelineup.com/xxxx

You will also be asked to enter the verification code that appears in the box for security. Once this is done, you can click on "Submit Request" to add your site to Google.

Your site will then be added the Google search engine database. Please note that it can take some time for your URL to appear in searches.

There is also a field for the Google Verification Filename. This is optional, and is only needed if you decide to create an account with Google to use their webmaster tools. You would generate this filename within your Google account and then copy/paste that name into your LeagueLineup site. This can be done if you'd like, but it is not required as your site will be still be added to Google using the steps mentioned above.
